This is the first alpha release of Family Connection 4.0.0.

Please note that while most sections of the site exist, they are far from feature complete.

However you should be able to setup the site, run through the installation process and even register new members. However, only some very basic functionality currently exists for each section. Some are more complete than others.

This release is a long time coming, and doesn't include everything I wanted it too. But I'm releasing it now so I can prepare for the next version of 4.0. Which will be a complete rewrite of the codebase.

• The Picasa Uploader has been fixed
• A new Facebook Uploader has been added, so you can upload photos from Facebook now

• Fixed bugs preventing uploading/viewing YouTube videos.

Misc.

• Fixed bug that was preventing users from logging in with Facebook
• Fixed bug when clicking on user profile of 'unknown' user.
• Added a 'blank state' message when no information has been added to the site in over 30 days

This release was mostly to replace the Prototype JavaScript framework with jQuery, which means that just about every line of JavaScript was rewritten. Some other small enhancements and bug fixes where addressed:

• The photo uploader, Plupload, was upgraded to the latest version

• Fixed an out of memory error for Family Trees with a lot of relatives
